DeepBrain Chain Progress Report #122 11.01–11.15(2022)

I. Product Development Progress

GPU Cloud Platform:

• Continue to test and optimize the single card rental function;
• The official version of the single-GPU renewal function awaits the mainnet audit to go live;
• Testing to resolve new bugs in the whole rental;
• Updated the Galaxy Race list API interface;

Distributed Computing Network:

• Development of diskless boot Win10/Ubuntu is in progress;
• Development of the dashboard interface, storage and iSCSI mirroring features for diskless solutions in progress;
• Updated bare metal API documentation;

DeepBrain Chain Mainnet:

• Reconfigured the rental module of the mainnet to use a unified interface for rental of different time lengths;
• Repaired the decoding errors caused by different migration order when upgrading migrated storage;
• Official release of the mainnet V2.3 update;
• Added penalties and tests after the committee refuses to bring a machine online to the interruptible leasing module;
• Added penalties and tests for committees not completing all work;

II. Marketing Progress

• The DBC computing power mainnet has been officially launched, and as of November 15th, 2022 Singapore time, the GPUs in the computing power mainnet have reached 2,565, halfway to the goal of 5,000 GPUs. Other latest data on-chain are: there are 19 computing pools participating, total computing power value reached 679,245.64, these GPUs have pledged a total of 2,295,267,204, GPU rental rate reached 69.23%, and accumulated rental income reached 2,295,267,204 DBC, please refer to the official website for details: https://galaxyrace. deepbrainchain.org/.
• Community Autonomy
  A new DBC mainnet upgrade proposal has been added and is undergoing a Council vote.
  This update mainly includes:
  (1)New support for single GPU rental
  (2)New rental/renewal by the minute (the time is an integer multiple of 30 minutes)
  (3)Fixed the bug that the punishment may be too much when executed
  (4)After renting, the waiting time for confirming successful renting is adjusted from 30 minutes to 15 minutes
  (5)Rental module event changes
  (6)RPC change to support single GPU rental, and serialization of some fields
  (7)Built-in synchronization node changes
  (8)Cleaned up duplicate documentation with the Wiki
  (9)Added test cases
  (10)Code refactoring optimization

III. Cloud Platforms’ Progress

Haibao Cloud Platform

• Haibao Cloud GPU launching online in the U.S going through debugging phase, currently confirmed a first machine of 4 GPU, the machine parameters meet the requirements of the DeepBrain Chain, joining up Jinhua computing pool, the first machine launching going through the debugging phase;
• Communicating with cloud platform customers, have confirmed that the customers need 3060 with 2GPU machine;
• Manually debugged the cloud platform single GPU rental function and platform virtual machine use function, troubleshooting bugs, initiated the single GPU rental function #90 proposal voting as a Council member, once the votes pass, the cloud platform single GPU rental function will be online;

IV. Ecosystem Building

• The total number of GPUs in the mainnet is 2,435, with a comprehensive occupancy rate of 69.23%;
• Current computing node number is 25;
• Continuing to push for product application in the Korean, Singaporean and other markets outside of China;
• In order to ensure the rental rate of your DBC computing nodes, please follow the recommended configuration and GPU model of the mainnet when launching online.
